Ours is an era of space probes, computer chips, laser surgeries and cloning. If we were to label any book as a revelation from God, we couldn't help but to scrutinize this Scripture using modern scientific knowledge. It could not be that a revelation, proclaiming itself from God, could constitute aspects contradicting established scientific facts. How could we assume otherwise, when God is the one who created the universe and the laws operating within it.

The Quran was revealed 1400 years ago to the last Prophet of God, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a guidance for all humanity. The entire Quran has been committed to memory by millions of Muslims around the world and has been preserved by God from any interpolations, for continuing guidance. Besides providing guidelines in personal, socio-economic-politico, moral and spiritual spheres of humanity, the Quran touches upon diverse scientific topics like astronomy, geology, embryology, genetics, biology, archeology etc. Some of these are mentioned below to prove the Quran's Divine origin. Dr. T.V.N. Persaud [1], professor of Anatomy, says: "You have an illiterate person (Prophet Muhammad) making profound statements that are amazingly accurate, of a scientific nature...I personally can't see how this could be mere chance, there are too many accuracies and like Dr. Moore, I have no difficulty in my mind reconciling that this is a divine inspiration or revelation which lead him to these statements".

The Big Bang !

Currently, the Big Bang model of the origin of the universe is the cosmological paradigm most widely accepted by astronomers. It holds that about 15 billion years ago the universe began with the explosive expansion of a single, extremely dense matter, the primordial mass. Only after the development of radio telescopes in 1937 that, the necessary observational precision was achieved in order for astronomers to arrive at the above conclusion. What does 

the Quran say about our universe's origin?

"Do not the unbelievers see that the Heavens and the earth were joined together, then We split them apart." (21:30)

Expanding Universe:
 

In 1925, Edwin Hubble (after whom the Hubble Space telescope is named) provided the observational evidence for the expansion of the universe. Stephen Hawking (author of 'A Brief History of Time') states: "The universe is not static, as had previously been thought, it is expanding". So what did God reveal in the Quran,
1400 years ago?

"And the firmament, We constructed with power and skill and verily We are expanding it" (51:47) 

("We" is the Arabic plural of respect, not the Christian plural of 'trinity")

The Existence of Sun's Orbit:  

Ancient people use to believe that the Sun revolves around the earth. Later, Nicholas Copernicus in 1512, laid his Heliocentric Theory of Planetary motion, which placed the sun motionless in the center of the solar system with all the planets revolving around it. Modern science tells us now that the sun too is not still, but is in motion. The sun traveling at roughly 150 miles per second takes about 200 million years to complete one revolution around the center of our Milky Way Galaxy and 25 days to make one complete rotation around its own axis. See how beautifully and accurately God revealed this phenomenon in the Quran:

"It is He who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon, all (the celestial bodies) swim along, each in its orbit with its own motion." (21:33)

Earth is constantly bombarded by meteoroids that disintegrate upon the atmosphere and by lethal rays emitted by the sun. This UV radiation is absorbed by the Ozone layer forming the outer fringe of our atmosphere. Thus our atmosphere along with its Ozone layer is a protective covering for us. Life possibly could not have existed without it. How meticulously, does our Lord sustain and protect us against this atmospheric destruction. 

"And We have made the atmosphere a protective roof, yet do they turn away from the Signs which these things point to." (21:32)

Embryology:  

The Dutch naturalist Anthony van Leeuwenhoek (1632-1723) produced lenses powerful enough to prove that many tiny creatures are not spontaneously generated but are produced from eggs. The science of Embryology as we know it today did not discover many of the detailed aspects of human embryonic development until the 1970s, using powerful microscopes, ultra sound and fiber optics technology. See how the Quran described the stages of embryonic development.

"God fashioned man from a small quantity (of sperm)" (16:4) Fertilization takes place with only one sperm among several tens of million produced by man.
 

"Then We placed him as a drop in a place of rest" (23:13) 

Implantation of the blastocyst in the uterus.

"Then We made the drop into a leech like structure..." (23:14) 

This resemblance of the human embryo to a leech is an appropriate description of the human embryo from days 7-24, then it clings to the endometrium of the uterus.

"And He (God) gave you hearing and sight and feeling and understanding." (32:9) 

The internal ears appear before the eyes, and the brain (the sight of understanding) differentiates last.

Dr. E. Marshall Johnson [2] Professor of Anatomy, concluded after studying verses from Quran: 

"The Quran describes not only the development of external form but emphasizes also the internal stages - the stages inside the embryo of its creation and development, emphasizing major events recognized by contemporary science... so I see nothing in conflict with the concept that divine intervention was involved..."

Gender Determination:

The concept of "Gender Determination" as being described by geneticists, is one of the outstanding informations revealed to us in the Quran. This information is now a known fact, that sperms are the deciding factors in determining the type of gender (male or female) in the new embryo. This determination through the male sperm is due to the fact that sperms have an X and Y chromosomes, while the female ovum has only X Chromosomes (X, X). Through the Quran, The Almighty informs us that it is the male sperms that determine the type of gender for the new offspring: 

"Does man think that he will be left uncontrolled (without purpose)? Was he not a drop of sperm emitted (in humble form)? Then did (God) make and fashion (him) in due proportion. And of him He made two sexes, male and female..." (75:36-40)

We invite all sincere humans to study Islam with an open mind. Don't blindly follow the whims and paganistic influences of the environment around us. Invitation To Think

Happiness is a commodity which we all strive for, whether it be through the purchase of expensive houses and cars, going on luxury cruises and relaxing with a cool drink on some beach in the Mediterranean, considering there to be only one life and that therefore one should make the most of it. Instead of this we should live through the observance of a divinely revealed lifestyle with the hope of an eternal paradise in the hereafter.

The choice of lifestyle is obviously of paramount importance since one would not wish to be busy in the temporal pleasures of the world if eternal hell-fire awaits nor would one wish to have restricted ones sphere of enjoyment in the false hope of paradise.

Any enlightened person will have, at some point in their life, considered whether or not a supreme being, originator or creator of the universe exists, and if this question yields a positive answer then it must naturally follow that one needs to know what kind of relationship, if any, one should have with such a god in order to derive the maximum amount of benefit in this life and in the next and in order to avoid harm.

Before presenting any kind of evidence, either in favor of or against the existence of a creator, we must consider the rules of evidence i.e. What can we irrefutably consider as reliable evidence? There are seven possibilities:

Science - this is considered to be the most objective and impartial of the evidences. Empiricists however, only conclude that something exists if it is within their direct sensible perception. Hence, since a creator, if he exists, is not perceivable, science cannot answer our question.

Mathematics - this is an abstract science which has no reality unless the numbers are quantified e.g. 1 Apple + 1 Apple =2 Apples, and since the creator is not quantifiable mathematics is inappropriate.

Logic - the proponents of pure logic make assumptive statements which are easily manipulated to reach a desired conclusion and hence logic is also inappropriate.

Philosophy - this involves notions used to formulate opinions which are often abstract and false, not a reliable source of evidence.

History - each individuals interpretation is valid but since no-we was usually around at the time it is difficult to prove matters beyond dispute.

Blind faith -is an emotional bond between a person and his faith which is not a tangible reality to others and therefore not available to measure the existence of a creator.

Rationality -is based on the reality perceived. It focuses on the definite aspect of things and therefore its conclusions never contradict, there being only ever we answer to each question e.g. That there is writing on this page.

At this point some ground rules must be laid before we tackle our fundamental question. Firstly, we are dealing with that reality which we are all able to understand under normal circumstances. Secondly, that our aim is not to explain the essence of the creator, if he exists, but merely to quantify the steps leading up to his existence or non existence. Thirdly, that we are only concerned with the definite aspects of reality, not assumptions or theories concerning it.

Let us now proceed; Using rationality the universe can be either finite or eternal. If something is eternal then rationally it can have no cause and hence it must be self-subsistent and infinite. If the universe is infinite it must have an infinite number of stars and, hence, light which should illuminate the infinite amount of darkness and consequently there should be no night, the light having had an infinite amount of time to reach us. This is clearly not the case. Hence, the universe is not eternal but finite.

If the universe is finite, like all of its component parts e.g. Man and other life forms, all having a beginning and an end, then, just like its component parts, it must be subject to the laws of nature such as cause and effect since matter does not effect the laws of nature but rather abides by them, even at point zero, since if matter can instigate a change in the laws of nature then such a change should also exist today.

There can therefore only be three possibilities;
1. The universe appeared out of nothing.
2. The universe exists 0000as an infinite chain of cause and effect.
3. The universe was caused by an unlimited creator.

1. The first option is contrary, as we have stated, to the fact of cause and effect.

2. The second option is similarly incorrect since the first effect must necessarily have had a cause and cannot have instigated itself.

3. The third option is possible and, however fantastic or unbelievable this may seem, it can be the only explanation i.e. That the universe and all of its components, including man, can only have been the result of an all-powerful and unlimited entity.

If therefore we conclude that a creator exists, which we must, then our next question must surely be what relationship do we have, if any, with the creator? That is, how is we to derive the maximum amount of benefit from the creator? What is the purpose, if any, of creation? etc... For although we can prove the existence of a creator rationally we cannot determine our relationship with it since the creators essence or attributes are beyond our sensible perception and hence beyond rationality. Our search through the annuls of history should inform us whether this creator ever communicated with us.

We therefore invite you to think for yourself, to contemplate upon the perfection with which man has been created; the precision with which he operates defies pure chance.

The 8 Principles To Discover The Existence Of God

1. Whatever we perceive by our senses exits

2. Certainty is obtainable by decisive report as equal to what is obtained by the senses.

_{For example, we know the Bermuda Triangle exists but have we ever seen it? We know meteorites exist but have we ever seen them? No! But we know it does because we have decisive report.}

3. We must not reject the existence of a matter just because we are unable to perceive it by our senses.

_{For example, a prisoner is locked in a cell. He has 4 view points.}

<sub>He can see to a certain extent through the windows, but cannot see in the corners. Never the less he cannot deny what he is unable to see. He may see trees through the window, but he cannot see that it continues, but he knows it is there.

For example, Sugar tastes but also smells. We cannot smell it but ants can, hence they ‘run for it!’ Just because we can’t sense it, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t smell!

Example, we know bacteria exist but we can’t see it.</sub>

4. Human imagination cannot perceive something beyond reality.

<sub>For example, Jannah, Hell-Fire and Life after death. We cannot perceive these through our imagination because it is beyond our reality, but we know it exists.

Paradise and Hell-Fire are impossible to be proven rationally as we cannot perceive it with our senses, hence we cannot imagine it. The only way we know it exists is from divine sources. If Allah never told us about them, then it is impossible to have the concept of Paradise and Hell-Fire.

Example, Try to imagine the ‘Bogie monster’. The only thing you can do is put together previous information you have about bogie and a monster.</sub>

5. The comprehension of the existence of a matter by the mind is restricted to time and place.

<sub>For example, Britain has a war with Russia. It is not in the UK nor in Russia, nor on land or on water, nor in the air. It didn’t happen last year or any other year. We cannot comprehend this because it is not restricted to time or place.

Example, I come from a country, not from Bangladesh or Pakistan and neither from the UK. Nor from Asia, Europe, America or any other continent. Where am I from? We cannot comprehend until I restrict to place.</sub>

6. Believing in God is part of the Human Nature.

_{For example, Allah asked us before we were sent to this world A-lastu bi Rabbikum ‘Am I not your Lord?’ And we testified Qaalu Bala ‘Yes indeed’. Surah ‘Araf verse 172, (7: 172).}

7. Believing in the existence of other life is a direct result of believing in the existence of God.

_{The fact that we can see other creations is poof that Allah exists. Because who created them?}

8. Man by his nature is limited, weak and needy.

The Toll of Muslim Holocausts and Genocide. Who Will Remember it?

Where is the Pakistani Army in this time of need?

As the Muslims in Pakistan come to terms with the enormous loss of life in the Kashmir region from the recent earthquake, the woeful, sluggish response from the rulers in Pakistan is also coming to light. Whilst any such catastrophe would be a challenge for any government, the Pakistani government rather than seeking to provide immediate relief to the areas affected seems to be more concerned about it's public image and is engaged in a damage control campaign. It seems to have abdicated all responsibility for it's citizens to the "international community" as it quite unashamedly begs for relief aid, which seems to be it's disaster strategy, coupled with the typical incompetent, corrupt bureaucratic response Pakistanis have to come to expect form successive Pakistani governments. In all it has collected a paltry sum of £200m. This is in stark contrast to the recent Hurricanes Katrina and Rita where a repair bill of $200 billion plus is being cited.

Whilst journalists have been able to reach and file news reports from these so called "remote areas" it remains a mystery why the Pakistan Army has been unable to reach these areas. Whilst in the past there has been no shortage of gusto performances from the commander-in-chief citing the readiness of the Pakistani army for any eventuality, recent Pakistani government pronouncements have varied from bad weather to roads being cut off by land slides to the short supply of helicopters as the reasons behind the dismal relief response. One would truly hate to imagine the situation in the event of a real war if this is the response of the Pakistani army in peacetime. Yet the question remains, why have only a small number of troops been allocated in the relief efforts in Kashmir out of a standing army of 600,000 ?

Perhaps the answer is elsewhere. Whilst the Muslims in Kashmir try to dig out their loved ones with their bare hands, the disturbing evidence is that the Pakistani army seemingly has all the resources including the helicopters and money needed to continue waging a war on it's own Muslim people in Wazirstan and the surrounding territories at the behest of Bush in the so called "War on Terror". Indeed the Pakistani government has made no announcement about ending this campaign and using these resources in the earthquake relief effort. This clearly shows where the Musharraf regime's priorities really lie, as a faithful servant in the hands of their foreign master Bush, while ignoring the agony of his own people. This comes as new revelations come to light in a New York times article that Pakistan is a country that Bush wants to deal with in a like manner as Iraq. No doubt Musharraf stands ready to serve.

The Media War: A Means to Brainwash the Masses

All praise is for almighty Allah (SWT) and I bear witness that there is no one worthy to be exclusively worshipped except Allah (SWT) and I bear witness that Muhammad (saw) is his Messenger.

O believers fear Allah (SWT) and don't die except as a Muslim, verily the Muslim Ummah was and will always be in continuous defence against all the plots and plans her enemy plots, such as establishing loop holes between Muslims and opening many fronts against them in order to divide them, exhaust them, weaken their strength and waste their efforts. These plots from the enemies of the Ummah are an almighty tradition, destined and will continue, rather they will never relax or save effort for the sake of achieving their task or objective which they target, for Allah (SWT) says:

‘ They will continue to fight you, if they can, in order to turn you away from your Deen ' [EMQ 2: 217]

This ayah is clear evidence about the continuity of the animosity between truth and falsehood which we experience day and night from different types of people, whose objective is one which Allah (SWT) has specified i.e. for Muslims to become apostates from the Deen. Therefore they adopt different means and tools but the objective will always be fixed i.e. to turn Muslims away from the Deen, if they can.

So it is not strange at all for us to see what we see and hear what we hear from their plots, whether they are short term ones (to be fulfilled in the short term) or long term ones, whenever the opportunity arises for them. You see them hunger and thirst to make their falsehood widespread by any way and means in the wider society in Muslim countries, without to care about the harm or consequences. And how could they care when this is their objective, for Allah (SWT) says:

‘ You will hear from the people of the book before you and the mushriks much harm. ' [EMQ 3: 118]

Verily Muslims have heard much harm and insults in order to cause disunity among them, but this is not strange, rather it is known as Sunnah Maadiyyah, destined from Allah (SWT).

What is really surprising is to find that the enemy is helped by some portion of the Muslims to spread their harm against fellow Muslims, and we don't mean here the practicing Muslims, because they understand the Wala and Bara and are in continuous animosity with the kuffar, but rather we speak about the other majority who have been counted as Muslims. These people are useful tools, used by the kuffar to do their jobs when requested by the kuffar, without to bother about the consequences on their own Deen and on their own Muslim brothers. However, we are not really concerned with these people, but rather those who are quickest to the fitnah and those who are leading the campaign of causing fitnah and who are propagating and spreading rumors. Whoever understands them realizes how much our shield and defence is threatened from inside. However, this is not the first time that we have heard about people like this in our history. Allah (SWT) has informed us about their mocking, he says:

‘They plot their own plots and Allah (SWT) knows their plots, and even the mountain will be shaken by their plots ' [EMQ 14: 46 ]

From among these types of people are those who are naive and emotional and their zeal will push them far from the shari'ah limits, so that they start off helping the enemy with good intention, without even to stand with them, and inadvertently put extra salt on the wounds of the Ummah by propagating what the enemy say about other Muslims and, if the enemy use the weapon of the media to spread rumours, some of the ‘sincere' Muslims will carry these rumors and spread them widely, without verification, causing damage in minutes what might have taken the enemy years to cause.

We must bear in mind that the media is one of the main tools used by the USA for its propaganda which has had a great impact and influence on conveying its military views and ideology since the First World War, as a way of brainwashing the masses around the world and as a means to convince its own people. It has been reported from J Brown, in his book ‘ The means of convincing and brainwashing ' written in 1970, that ‘ In the beginning of the first world war no one cared at all about oppressed people or to spread democracy but when the American people intervened and the Russian revolution started, governments started to adopt ideologies to gain the sympathy of the world or to preserve high morale among the people'

Therefore American propaganda had the main function of boosting the morale of the alliance during the First World War and to weaken the morale of the Germans. This American point of view i.e. propaganda and media campaign, against opposition, continues even today and adopts all the advanced technology to address and to reach most of the people of the Earth with the full support of political and military studies which have been prepared by the department of psychology and of the art of scientific media. In this global crusade against Islam and Muslims, the USA uses all her propaganda machine to earn international support against what she calls Islamic terrorism, extremism and fanaticism.

The USA has controlled the world's media and forced it upon everyone using strict monitoring, it has silenced all tongues which do not agree with her propaganda and policies and has adopted two main forms of monitoring the propaganda:

• Selected monitoring – focusing on selected information which matches with her particular point of view

• Controlling all media publicity and transmission around the world to guarantee that the news reaches the world and carries her views at the speed of light.

These are the adopted means, mentioned in the above book by Mr Brown, in order to understand how the science of media propaganda has been utilized in this contemporary war.

One of the means of propaganda utilised by the Americans is continuous repetition, believing that if you repeat things many times you will find that people will one day accept them, and in fact some of the slogans may one day become common principles which have big roles in politics or the media, even if they were originally completely meaningless. Some of what the Americans repeat through their channels are concerning terrorism, fundamentalism, the war against western civilization and the war against their values, which become facts and which no one wants to debate or argue against, this matches with the popular parable, ‘ a lot of repetition will even teach the donkey '.

Other means of propaganda are rejecting to debate anything they propagate but rather one must confirm their thought, even by force. Recently we have experienced how US propaganda has spread its views, insisting that its ideas are fact and not open to discussion in order to brainwash the minds of the masses. The masses must adopt these and this is clearly manifested on the lips of George Bush when he says that ‘ The USA is fighting Terrorism ' and he keeps repeating this, and that the USA ‘ has the right to retaliate against terrorism by any means '. Moreover, we have heard from the White House that the USA is not needy for any evidence to attack any country which they doubt is involved in terrorism.

Another means that the disbelievers of the USA and Britain use, which has a lot of impact on the minds of the people, in order to brainwash the masses, is to establish a group of intellectuals or politicians and then introduce them in a way that people will accept them (and their views and ideologies) in order to gain their support. This style is so clear in the speeches of the American politicians for example, when they say that ‘ the American people want so and so.. ' or when they say, for example that ‘ 80% of the American people support the war ' etc… so if any American reads these statements or sees these statistics it will affect their minds and develop thoughts of artificial people, bearing in mind that most Americans have no personal opinion about the war, that they don't care about the foreign policy of their government and they do not know about the external wars except little. So it is no surprise if the American people think Pervez Musharraf is the King of Saudi Arabia.

This is how the American war of propaganda has succeeded to trap the Northern alliance in Afghanistan , with certain slogans like ‘ the Afghani people do not want the Taleban ' and ‘ the afghani people want peace ' etc… Even the head of the government keeps repeating these and other similar statements like ‘ afghani people want the foreign forces to stay for good '.

Therefore we must meet this challenge with a bigger challenge than theirs and have publicity which reflects the Islamic point of view, free from any form of defeatism or blind-following and we must use the media to rise the morale and plant the hope of victory in the heart of the world in general and the Muslim Ummah in particular, so that it is not affected by the foolish US propaganda and is able to expose it publicly.

Muslims can no longer remain silent, especially in this difficult time in the history of mankind where there is material and moral defeatism and where American monopolization of the world's media has prevailed. Propaganda does not usually succeed except when it finds people who wish to listen to it, digest it and act upon it and this cannot happen except in a society whose morale among the people is low. So we must give up defeatism and transfer it to a confrontational mentality, we must transfer our thoughts and ideas and publicize them widely and make the Muslims carry them everywhere and we must not to be busy carrying the thoughts and ideas of the enemy, whether to publicize them or even to waste time countering them. Verily Muslims have the jewellery, which is Islam, whereas the kuffar have stones called Christianity or Judaism. But unfortunately, Muslim activists hide the Jewellery and are busy criticising the stones instead of demonstrating the Jewellery they have and to let everyone see it so that the wise will realize the difference between the jewellery and the stones.

The world wide media propaganda machine and it's savage onslaught against Muslims is bigger than at any other time, so we must plant in the minds of the Ummah the correct Aqeedah, such as Tawheed, Al-Wala Wal-Bara, brotherhood and complete submission and we must let the coming Muslim generation have immunity against any Western propaganda. Hence, we see the US and the kuffar concentrating on Americanizing the children of the world, even by spreading their thoughts and ideas via cartoon films, which carry with them all their satanic plots in order to shape the minds of the younger generation from different backgrounds and colors so that they accept it's ideology without any resistance.

These evil, cultural, savage attacks against the Ummah are manifest in the war against the Islamic scholars, activists, Daiees and Islamic schools, and that is why the Americans are always trying to shut the schools down, arrest the scholars and stop the groups, because they see them as obstacles in the way of their satanic plots.

Muslims must therefore stand firm for what they believe against all the plots of the kuffar; it is time for stubbornness, for standing firm for your thoughts and to hold to them, because the steadfastness of the thoughts and practicing them by the people will grant them strength. Despite the fact that the Tartars invaded Muslim countries with their military advancement, they still ended up embracing our Deen when they saw how the Muslims held to their own thoughts and belief without compromising. Despite being weak and having a defeated materially, their morale was very high.

O Muslim brothers, O Ghurabaa, be aware that the real strength of the Muslims is in the firmness of their belief. They should be proud about it, call for it, implement it and pledge to Allah (SWT) to die for and on it. How many kuffar have embraced Islam when they see the Muslims insisting to implement their Deen and are seen to be proud about their own belief.

Allah (SWT) informed us of many psychological facts about the personalities of the kuffar and their mentality in the Qur'an in many places, so we must capitalise on these Islamic facts in our publicity and the call and dawah. Verily we have greater weapons in this propaganda war because our enemy have launched their attacks based on human views and concepts in order to affect us whereas we have divine facts about them which are not subject to debate. All we need to do is to transfer these facts from theory into action, and verily Allah (SWT) says:

‘Do the action and Allah (SWT) will reward you for it' [EMQ 3: 57 ]

So make the effort that Allah (SWT) asks you to make and leave the result in his hands, with full tawakkul in him (SWT).

Living Between the Disbelievers

A Muslim is obliged to live by Islam and implement the Sharee'ah wherever he is. He must also swear allegiance to none but Allah (SWT), His Messenger (SAW) and to the ameer ul-mu'mineen (leader of the Muslims). If there is no leader (or Khaleefah) to pledge allegiance to (like in today's reality), it becomes mandatory to work collectively with other Muslims in order to eradicate shirk (disbelief, false deities, non-Islamic law etc.) and implement the Sharee'ah.
Moreover, it is not permissible for a Muslim to live between the disbelievers unless he distinguishes himself from them, preserves his Deen, rejects their customs, ideologies, ways of life; calls them to Islam and fulfils all his other duties and ritual obligations. Jareer bin 'Abdillah (RA) reported that the Messenger Muhammad (SAW) said:

أنا بريءٌ من كلِّ مسلمٍ يقيم بين أظهر المشركين

I disassociate myself from any Muslim who lives between the Mushrikeen [disbelievers]. (Sunan Abee Daawud, hadeeth no.2645)
This disassociation is from Muslims who live between the Kuffaar (i.e. in daar ul-harb) and do not distinguish themselves from the disbelievers and fulfil their obligation of inviting them to Islam (openly in public). Distinguishing one's self from the disbelievers can be accomplished in many ways. However, this must be primarily done by holding onto the Islamic values and adhering to the Sharee'ah (without any compromise).

If a person is unable to hold onto his Deen, reject shirk and kufr (interfaith, multiculturalism, integration, the false ways of life, deities, traditions, laws, religions and customs of the non-Muslims etc.), disassociate himself from the disbelievers (by not voting for them, participating in their political processes or joining their forces etc.) and openly invite society to Islam; it becomes prohibited for him to live amongst them and hijrah (migration) becomes obligatory upon him.

The only person who has the permit not to distinguish himself from the Kuffaar and publicly invite them to Islam is the mujaahid. However, one should not let the shaytaan (devil) whisper to him and convince him that he is a mujaahid or he is preparing for jihaad. Nowadays there are many fake "mujaahids" who do nothing but sit behind their computers all day, slander sincere Muslims, watch a few video clips and free-mix in "Islamic" forums. What is even worse is that they have the audacity to claim they are working hard in the cause of Allah and are serving the Muslim Ummah.
Either da'wah or hijrah
One of the characteristics of a munaafiq (hypocrite) is that he lives between the Kuffaar (in daar ul-harb) without to fight them or distinguish himself from them (by calling them to Islam). Furthermore, he also avoids making hijrah when it becomes obligatory upon him to do so. Allah (SWT) says:

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ تَوَفَّاهُمُ الْمَلائِكَةُ ظَالِمِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ قَالُوا فِيمَ كُنْتُمْ قَالُوا كُنَّا مُسْتَضْعَفِينَ فِي الأرْضِ قَالُوا أَلَمْ تَكُنْ أَرْضُ اللَّهِ وَاسِعَةً فَتُهَاجِرُوا فِيهَا فَأُولَئِكَ مَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ وَسَاءَتْ مَصِيرًا

إِلا الْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ وَالْوِلْدَانِ لا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ حِيلَةً وَلا يَهْتَدُونَ سَبِيلا

فَأُولَئِكَ عَسَى اللَّهُ أَنْ يَعْفُوَ عَنْهُمْ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَفُوًّا غَفُورًا

Verily! As for those whom the angels take [in death] while they are wronging themselves [as they stayed among the disbelievers even though emigration was obligatory for them], they [angels] say [to them]: "In what [condition] were you?" They reply: "We were weak and oppressed on earth." They [angels] say: "Was not the earth of Allah spacious enough for you to emigrate therein?" Such men will find their abode in Hell - what an evil destination! Except the weak ones among men, women and children who cannot devise a plan, nor are they able to direct their way. For these there is hope that Allah will forgive them, and Allah is ever Oft-Pardoning, Oft-Forgiving. (EMQ an-Nisaa', 4:97–99)

Al-Bukhaari recorded that Muhammad bin 'Abdir-Rahmaan (Abul Aswad) said, "The people of al-Madeenah were forced to prepare an army [to fight against the people of ash-Shaam during the khilaafah of Abdullah bin az-Zubayr at Makkah], and I was enlisted in it. Then I met 'Ikrimah, the freed slave of Ibn 'Abbaas, and informed him [about it], and he forbade me strongly from doing so [i.e., to enlist in that army], and then he said to me, Ibn 'Abbaas told me that some Muslims used to go out with the idolaters increasing the size of their army against the Messenger of Allah. Then, an arrow would hit one of them and kill him, or he would be struck on his neck [with a sword] and killed, and Allah sent down the aayah: 'Verily! As for those whom the angels take while they are wronging themselves…'"
Ad-Dahhaak stated that this aayah was revealed about some hypocrites who did not join the Messenger of Allah (SAW) but remained in Makkah and went out with the idolaters for the Battle of Badr. They were killed among those who were killed. Thus, this honourable aayah was revealed about those who reside among the idolaters, while able to perform hijrah and unable to practice their Deen. Such people will be committing injustice against themselves and falling into a prohibition according to the Consensus and also according to this aayah.



Moreover, in another aayah Allah (SWT) says:



فَمَا لَكُمْ فِي الْمُنَافِقِينَ فِئَتَيْنِ وَاللَّهُ أَرْكَسَهُمْ بِمَا كَسَبُوا أَتُرِيدُونَ أَنْ تَهْدُوا مَنْ أَضَلَّ اللَّهُ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لَهُ سَبِيلا

وَدُّوا لَوْ تَكْفُرُونَ كَمَا كَفَرُوا فَتَكُونُونَ سَوَاءً فَلا تَتَّخِذُوا مِنْهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ حَتَّى يُهَاجِرُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَخُذُوهُمْ وَاقْتُلُوهُمْ حَيْثُ وَجَدْتُمُوهُمْ وَلا تَتَّخِذُوا مِنْهُمْ وَلِيًّا وَلا نَصِيرًا

Then what is the matter with you that you are divided into two parties about the hypocrites? Allah has cast them back [to disbelief] because of what they have earned. Do you want to guide him whom Allah has made to go astray? And he whom Allah has made to go astray, you will never find for him any way [of guidance].

They wish that you reject [Eemaan], as they have rejected [Eemaan], and thus that you all become equal [like one another]. So take not awliyaa' [protectors or friends] from them, till they emigrate in the Way of Allah [to Muhammad SAW]. But if they turn back [from Islam], take [hold] of them and kill them wherever you find them, and take neither awliyaa' [protectors or friends] nor helpers from them. (EMQ an-Nisaa', 4:88–89)

Imaam Ahmad recorded that Zayd bin Thaabit (RA) said that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) marched towards Uhud. However, some people went back to al-Madeenah, and the Companions of the Messenger of Allah divided into two groups concerning them, one saying they should be killed and the other objecting. Allah (SWT) then revealed: "Then what is the matter with you that you are divided into two parties about the hypocrites…"
Haatib bin Abee Balta'ah
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لا تَتَّخِذُوا عَدُوِّي وَعَدُوَّكُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ تُلْقُونَ إِلَيْهِمْ بِالْمَوَدَّةِ وَقَدْ كَفَرُوا بِمَا جَاءَكُمْ مِنَ الْحَقِّ يُخْرِجُونَ الرَّسُولَ وَإِيَّاكُمْ أَنْ تُؤْمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ رَبِّكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ خَرَجْتُمْ جِهَادًا فِي سَبِيلِي وَابْتِغَاءَ مَرْضَاتِي تُسِرُّونَ إِلَيْهِمْ بِالْمَوَدَّةِ وَأَنَا أَعْلَمُ بِمَا أَخْفَيْتُمْ وَمَا أَعْلَنْتُمْ وَمَنْ يَفْعَلْهُ مِنْكُمْ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ سَوَاءَ السَّبِيلِ

O you who believe! Take not my enemies and your enemies [i.e. disbelievers and polytheists, etc.] as friends, showing affection towards them, while they have disbelieved in what has come to you of the truth [i.e. Islamic Monotheism, the Qur'aan, and Muhammad SAW], and have driven out the Messenger [SAW] and yourselves [from your homeland] because you believe in Allah your Lord! If you have come forth to strive in My Cause and to seek My Good Pleasure, [then take not these disbelievers and polytheists, etc., as your friends]. You show friendship to them in secret, while I am All-Aware of what you conceal and what you reveal. And whosoever of you [Muslims] does that, then indeed he has gone [far] astray, [away] from the Straight Path. (EMQ al-Mumtahanah, 60:1)

The story of Haatib bin Abee Balta'ah is the reason behind revealing the beginning of this honourable Soorah. Haatib was among the Early Emigrants and participated in the Battle of Badr. Haatib had children and wealth in Makkah, but he was not from the tribe of Quraysh. Rather, he was an ally of 'Uthmaan. When the Messenger of Allah (SAW) decided to conquer Makkah, after its people broke the peace treaty between them, he ordered the Muslims to mobilize their forces to attack Makkah, and then said, "O Allah! Keep our news concealed from them."

Haatib wrote a letter and sent it to the people of Makkah, with a woman from the tribe of Quraysh, informing them of the Messenger's intent to attack them. He wanted them to be indebted to him (so that they would grant safety to his family in Makkah). Allah the Exalted conveyed this matter to His Messenger (SAW), because He accepted the Prophet's invocation (to Him to conceal the news of the attack). The Prophet sent someone after the woman and retrieved the letter.

This letter was addressed from Haatib bin Abee Balta'ah to some pagans of Makkah, telling them about what Allah's Messenger intended to do. Allah's Messenger (SAW) then said, "O Haatib! What is this?" Haatib replied, "O Allah's Messenger! Do not make a hasty decision about me. I was a person not belonging to Quraysh, but I was an ally to them. All the Emigrants who were with you have kinsmen (in Makkah) who can protect their families. So I wanted to do them a favour, so they might protect my relatives, as I have no blood relation with them. I did not do this out of disbelief or to renegade from my religion, nor did I do it to choose disbelief after Islam."
Allah's Messenger (SAW) said to his Companions, "Regarding him, he has told you the truth." 'Umar (RA) then exclaimed:

دعني يا رسول الله أضرب عنق هذا المنافق

O Allah's Messenger! Allow me to chop off the head of this hypocrite [kaafir]!

The Prophet (SAW) said, "He attended Badr. What can I tell you, perhaps Allah looked at those who attended Badr and said, 'O people of Badr, do what you like, for I have forgiven you.'" Allah (SWT) then revealed: "O you who believe! Take not my enemies and your enemies [i.e. disbelievers and polytheists, etc.] as friends, showing affection towards them…"

We can learn from this incident that the Prophet (SAW) consented to the takfeer of 'Umar (RA) upon Haatib, and had to wait for revelation from Allah in order to decide what to do with him. Furthermore, it is not permissible for a Muslim to give information to the Kuffaar even if it is to save one's family.
In summary
If Muslims are going to continue to live between the Kuffaar and become busy with the dunyaa 'worldly life' (such as by working excessive hours or wasting time spending years learning about the dunyaa in school, college or university), without to at least invite the disbelievers to Islam (publicly), command the good, forbid the evil, and distinguish themselves from the non-Muslims; there is a great chance that they may become munaafiqeen; and thus, they must make hijrah and go to a place where they are able to do all their obligations.

Da'wah by commanding good and forbidding evil are obligations upon Muslims; therefore, we should not be like those who are cursed by Almighty Allah (SWT) and follow some ahkaam but reject others. Allah ta'aalaa says:
أَفَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِبَعْضِ الْكِتَابِ وَتَكْفُرُونَ بِبَعْضٍ فَمَا جَزَاءُ مَنْ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ مِنْكُمْ إِلا خِزْيٌ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يُرَدُّونَ إِلَى أَشَدِّ الْعَذَابِ وَمَا اللَّهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ

Then do you believe in a part of the Scripture and reject the rest? Then what is the recompense of those who do so among you, except disgrace in the life of this world, and on the Day of Resurrection they shall be consigned to the most grievous torment. And Allah is not unaware of what you do. (EMQ al-Baqarah, 2:85)

Hands off Muslim Honor

The decline of nations and the decline of people is not due to their material weakness or strength nor is it due to their shortage of military capability, as some foolish or shallow people might think, because nations do not revive except by Allah (SWT)'s permission through standing firm for what they believe and for their moral values. In fact all the messages Allah (SWT) sent to mankind came for one purpose; to submit to him exclusively, to abide by all his commands and refrain from all that he has forbidden in order for the moral values, which almighty Allah (SWT) has obliged upon us, to be maintained in belief and in behavior and for them to prevail. These moral values are our strength, after Tawheed-Allah and total submission to almighty Allah (SWT) exclusively. For the Messenger Muhammad (saw) said:

‘ I have been sent with this message to perfect and to complete the values '

Indeed the divine and perfect values are a weapon that will make every enemy weak and collapse before them when a society is strict in it's system of moral values and behavior and which cares about the dignity of the individuals in the society, for the sake of pleasing Allah (SWT), such that people can incline towards these perfect values and challenge all the societies instincts and desires with them. This society will be straight in the way of Haq, firm, elevated, dignified and revived.

The divine and moral values are not something you can earn by reading and writing nor by preaching or listening, rather they are a step which we cannot achieve except with the blessing of Allah (SWT), his guidance and mercy; who ordered us to nurture our children to have Islamic mentality and firm will, following divine moral measurements which control the behavior. One of these moral measurements is a topic which has been mentioned in the hadith of the Messenger Muhammad (saw) known as the hadith of Gheerah (i.e. jealousy) of the honor and protection of the sanctities. Verily every wise, honorable and decent person cannot accept less than to have his honor the subject of praise and elevated and he is always keen to keep his honor sanctified and protected with no one speaking against it or polluting it.

Further, the one who is upright is the one who is keen about his honor and spends everything to protect his wife and children, to preserve their sanctity, to reject anyone who humiliates them or speaks ill about them and is willing to spend all his wealth to shut the mouths of those who could put his honor down. Therefore the gheerah is what Allah (SWT) established in the servant from spiritual strength in order to protect his honor and the honor of his mahaarem i.e. female relatives, from any criminals or intruders. This is why the gheerah in Islam is a praised character and protecting it a legitimate form of Jihad, on the saying of the Messenger Muhammad (saw), collected in Bukhari and Muslim:

‘ Allah (SWT) is Ya-Ghaar and verily the Mu'min is Ya-Ghaar and the gheerah is that a mu'min does what Allah (SWT) has forbidden him to do '

And it is a legitimate form of Jihad because the Messenger Muhammad (saw) said, as reported in Tirmizi,

‘ Whoever dies defending his family (i.e. wife, mother, sister or children etc…) is a martyr' and elsewhere ‘whoever dies defending his honor is a martyr '

For this reason the gheerah is opposite to Dayaathah and Al-Ghayoun i.e. the one who has this gheerah, is opposite to Dayouth who does not care about the honor of his family and has no gheerah for them. For this reason the man who has gheerah puts his life in danger and exhausts utmost effort and he may even put himself in front of all the arrows of death when he finds anyone insulting his honor, to the extent that if he stops the gheerah upon his family he will go down from the level of human to the level of the worst animal who does not care about his honor e.g. the pigs.

Imam Ibn Qayyim (ra) said

‘ If the gheerah has left the heart, the whole Deen has left '

For this reason the companions of the Messenger Muhammad (saw) were the strongest people in gheerah upon their honor, it is reported from the Messenger Muhammad (saw), in Bukhari and Muslim, that once he (saw) said to his companions:

‘If a person enters upon his family and finds what is not pleasant (maa ureebu) he will bring fourth four witnesses to testify' then Saad Bin Ubaadah (ra) stood up shocked and said ‘Ya Rasoul Allah, do I enter upon my family and find something bad and wait for four witnesses? No, by the one who sent you with the truth, if I found anything wrong with my family I would remove the head from the body and I will hit with the sword without any mercy and let Allah (SWT) do with me after that as he wishes' here the Messenger Muhammad (saw) said to the companions ‘Are you surprised with the jealousy of Saad? By Allah (SWT), I am more jealous than him and Allah (SWT) is more jealous than me and because of the jealousy of Allah (SWT) he has forbidden all unlawful intimate relations whether prevailed or hidden'

Therefore whoever misses the gheerah, misses the purity of life and he becomes lower than animals because no one will be praised for the jealousy over his honor except the honorable man and honorable woman, verily the pure life needs the effort of the good people and the dirty life has an easy way and takes you lower and lower. This is why the Jannah has been surrounded by what people dislike but the hellfire has been surrounded by the desires.

It is for this reason that Islam makes the Hijaab (i.e. the covering of the woman or the Khimaar and Jilbab) a great motive to enhance the jealousy of the Muslim upon his mahaarem and to be protective so that no one will reach them or attack them. Verily the Hijaab is a great motive to inherit lofty values and character, both among parents and children. Jealousy of a woman over her honor and upon her husband is a praised one, jealousy of the parents upon their daughters is a praised one, jealousy of the believers upon other believers not to be attacked in any form or shape is a praised one. Hence the good Muslim woman will be hurt and wounded and she will feel that her respect has been wounded and her purity attacked whenever a foreign man looks at her. Therefore Islam has blocked any way which could lead to affect the covering and lead to the Dayaatha and carelessness about the honor and the aworah.

It has been collected in Musnad of Imaam Ahmed, in Vol 15 at p118 that the Messenger Muhammad (saw) said, as reported from Abu Hurairah, that

‘Allah (SWT) will never accept the salaat of any woman who wears perfume whilst going to the mosque, unless she washes from it the way she washes from the janabah (i.e. the big ritual impurity)'

Looking deeply at this hadith we can see that the Messenger Muhammad (saw) was so harsh with any woman wearing perfume and coming out of her home, even if she is going to the mosque to worship Allah (SWT), so much so that her salat will never be accepted unless she takes a shower like the shower for janabah, in order for all the signs of perfume to be removed from her body and so that her honor is not affected.

The lesson we take from this is that Islam wants the Muslim to feel jealous from the perfume of his wife to be smelt by anyone, let alone for anyone to see what the women show nowadays from her body; wearing tight trousers or tight t-shirts and some covering their heads whilst wearing miniskirts! And what about those women who claim to attribute themselves to Islam, whether or not they cover their heads, whilst dazzling themselves for others and whose men help them to come out with their dress in full violation of the sanctity of Almighty Allah (SWT) and His Messenger Muhammad (saw). Some so-called Muslims even claim that there is no harm for women to expose their bodies and beauty and to free mix with men in the market or places of entertainment, of fujoor and of desire or for women to smoke in the streets, to use the hubble-bubble or cigarettes or to spread her legs and ride the bike the way that men do. Moreover some so-called Shayoukh say that Islam does not forbid women to enjoy themselves in public places, as long as it is not a night club or so that they can travel in ‘missions' which they claim to be e.g. scientific or educational etc… Further we see women nowadays exposing their heads, others their chests bringing their t-shirts down to show their cleavage and others their stomachs, some show their backs and others their upper arms and if they wear clothes they are so tight or small that they cover hardly anything at all.

We see all of this in the days of Ramadhan. The women's men have no shame nor do the men who have authority over them have any shame, they look like men but are in fact Dayouth i.e. pigs. The question will then obviously rise; are these men and women Muslims?

Dear Muslim brothers, unfortunately with all this pain in our hearts, what can we say about a civilisation which came from the West and which slaughtered the honor openly and publicly and buried it live. To the extent that we start to read in any free door to door newspaper or magazine; adverts for girls or men as escorts, advertising themselves or advertising how to increase the size of the breasts etc… further still you see men and women involved in many unlawful sexual acts when they hug, kiss and grab each other in front of other people, which has become so common practise that people do not feel anything wrong with it and their faces never become red when they do or see it. In reality, the honor no longer has any value.

What is worse is when these types of people; like those who are actresses and singers, become examples and role models for others and for the young generation and when people take from them, their thoughts and ideas and imitate their behavior.

We had thought that we would only see this in the West among the kuffar and not in Muslim countries amongst Muslims, behaving like the animals. Has the jealousy which Allah (SWT) has honored us with left us, has the water of the honor dried and has the flame been extinguished? Do the people consent from the families of those dishonored, what happened to them, who should we address? When unlawful sexual acts have become adverts in newspapers, on bill boards, in the markets, in films and in music concerts. Films are shown today where very exposing forms of clothes are worn and very explicit sexual slogans are used in the titles, this is reflected in the main road, in the market and in the park and not only on the beach. La Howla Wa La Quwata Illa Billah.

That is a big test for any sincere Muslim who is obliged to forbid all this evil and is a big test for any real honorable man and woman and upon their children and sisters; how can they deal with this catastrophe, with live broadcasting and 100's of satellite channels? Where has the shame gone, where has the fitrah been lost, where has the jealousy disappeared?

An honorable woman from the Tabein once saw a jar of alcohol and said ‘ Does a woman drink from that ?' they said yes so she said ‘ They are fornicators by the lord of the Kaabah '

Nowadays we hear a lot of people removing their Khimaar and Jilbab and we hear the media condemning the Hijaab. Western governments have started to forbid the Hijaab in France and to punish those who cover themselves in Holland and fatwa have been passed in London saying; let the women wear wigs and hats instead (like the Jews)!

Fornication and it's introduction and nudism and it's attraction have become the widespread fashion and custom nowadays. This reminds us about what has been reported in Ahmed from Abu Umamah, that a man came to the Messenger Muhammad (saw) and said;

‘O Messenger of Allah (SWT) give me a permit to fornicate.' The people started to criticise and shout at him but the Messenger Muhammad (saw) brought him close and said ‘Do you like it for your mother?' he said ‘No, may Allah (SWT) sacrifice me for your sake' and the Messenger Muhammad (saw) said ‘Nor do the people like it for their mothers'. He (saw) continued to ask the man the same question with regard to his daughter and sister and auntie and the man gave the same response. Finally, the Messenger Muhammad (saw) said ‘O Allah (SWT) forgive his sins, purify his heart protect his aworah' and after that the man never looked at any aworah.

Verily there is a conspiracy against Islam by the enemy on two fronts – upon the aqeedah of Tawheed and secondly upon the family. They start by calling Muslim women to remove the Hijaab and after that for the woman to be equal to men in everything, to have unisex in everything and for the women to go out of their homes, forming policies to let them go out and free mix. We can also see this when they ask single women go out to look for jobs, by replacing income support with job seekers allowance.

In truth, protecting the honor is from the heart of our Islamic aqeedah and culture. There is no way to find a true Muslim or sincere man with fitrah, seeing his wife or sister sitting on the thigh of any foreign man and for him to do nothing about it or for anyone to praise her or bless her or let her go out with any foreign man who is not her mahrem i.e. not her brother or father or son etc...

Therefore the responsibility upon Muslims towards their Deen is to be jealous for the sanctities of Allah (SWT), the way they are jealous for the sanctities of their families and children and to multiply their efforts and join the day with the night, commanding good and forbidding evil, in order to expose the man made system and it's affect and to replace it with the Islamic system. This, to make impact on the radical change which is urgently needed, to restore shyness and purity or at least to protect the remains of it, if indeed there is anything left.

We remind you that the Messenger Muhammad (saw) said

‘ Whenever the faahishah is widespread in society, expect calamity from almighty Allah (SWT) and punishment which will be manifest with hurricanes, earthquakes and various strange diseases '.

Yesterday it was AIDS, then the mad cow, now it's bird flue, not to mention all the hurricanes and earthquakes, what do the people need more than this to wake up? Are you hurrying the hour?

O Muslims, wake up before you reach a time when you cannot wake.

O Muslims establish Allah (SWT)'s Deen before the day of the Deen reaches you.
O Allah (SWT) bear witness that we conveyed the message.

Western Society: A culture of paganism and disbelief.

All Praise and thanks are due to Allaah, who created jinn and mankind for no purpose except to worship Him, and did not leave them to wander blindly, but rather sent Messengers (to them). And may the peace and blessings of Allaah be upon His slave and Messenger, Muhammad (salallahu alayhe wassalam), who brought mankind out of the darkness of shirk (paganism) , into the light of tawhid (monotheism), by the leave of his Lord, the Al-Mighty, (The One) Worthy of all Praise.

Sadly enough, many Muslims have failed to recognize the evil of Western society, and have failed to recognize how it has plundered into the depths of kufr and shirk. Many Muslims, especially those whom live in the West, have a limited understanding of At-tawhid(monotheism) and Shirk(polytheism), and they deem shirk(polytheism) as being something limited to the invoking of idols, the worshipping of graves, or the belief in a god besides Allah. Although all of these are unforgivable acts and beliefs (of shirk), in which Allaah will not forgive (if one dies upon them), the ignorance of the other types of shirk and how they are manifested in Western society has brought Muslims to become disillusioned as to what it actually means to be a real Muwahhid(monotheist) in the modern-day and age.

Shirk in Love and how it is manifested in the West

One of the categories of shirk in 3ebaadah(worship) is shirk in love. In essence, this means to love something as you love Allaah, or to love something with the same (or more intense) love as one has for Allaah. Allaah (swt) says in His Book:

And of mankind are some who take (for worship) others besides Allah as rivals (to Allah). They love them as they love Allah. But those who believe, love Allah more (than anything else)... [Qur'an 2:265]

Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah said:

"Every person must have an ultimate aim which is the focus of his love and will. If a person does not have Allaah as the focus of his love and will, he will inevitably be enslaved by something else, whether it be his own pride and arrogance, wealth, power or something that he takes as a god instead of Allaah." [Al-Uboodiyyah]

The reality is that human beings are worshippers by nature. If the worship of Allaah is not established in one's life, then one's worship will be directed towards something else. The negligence of Allaah in the daily life of the western kaafir, has lead him to become enslaved usually by his own desires and whims. Often, the pursuit of petty desires, aspirations for worldly vanities, and even the mere pursuit of physical pleasure occupies the love and will of individuals living in the West.

All of this traces its roots in Ancient Greek philosophy, and concepts such as hedonism, which teach that the pursuit of worldly pleasure is essentially good, and everything that opposes it, is essentially bad. Likewise, devotion to these worldly pleasures, which is often manifested in the widespread zina(unlawful sexual intercourse), consumption of alcohol, and obsession with music and other pleasures, has led people to in fact take their own desires and lusts (hawaa') as their gods. Allaah (swt) says:

"Have you seen him who takes his own lust (vain desires) as his ilah (god)," [Qur'an 45:23]

The Western idea of success has led people to become enslaved to wealth, (in the sense that) money and wealth is deemed as the absolute source of benefit. This is (in reality) the essence of Capitalism and materialism, which has made people's souls become subservient to the dollar bill in an almost absolute sense, with no acknowledgement of Allah. It is just as how the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

The Messenger said, “May the worshipper of Ad-Dirham be wretched. May the worshipper of Ad-Dinâr be wretched. May the worshipper of velvet cloth be wretched. May the worshipper of silk cloth be wretched. May he be wretched and disappointed. When such a one is pierced with thorns they cannot be extracted. When he is granted (what he desires), he is pleased; and when he is denied, he is displeased...” [Bukhârî & Ibn Mâjah upon Abu Hurayrah ®]

The Prophet (sws) described such people as "worshippers" in the sense that if they get what they desire they become pleased and feel successful, and if they don't, they become displeased and feel in need. In the West, such an individual (of this condition) will enslave himself to school and work in order to achieve this illusion of "success", also known as the "American dream", and then to fill his life with some sort of meaning and purpose, he resorts to simple physical fulfillment, with no thought of decency or dignity. In fact, complete opposition to any form of human decency, morality, or dignity has become a basis of western culture, (all) in the name of "Freedom" and "Pursuit of happiness".
Shirk in Legislation

The very essence of the Western idea of life and "individualism" is based upon deifying the human intellect and rationale. It places the feeble intellect in a position in which it was not created for, beyond its reasonable capabilities, and into areas which require knowledge and understanding which it can not grasp( well enough) to make just, complete, and perfect decisions. From a very young age, children are taught "think for yourself", "be yourself", "express your emotions and ideas and follow them." From this stemmed the rejection of Divine Wisdom and revelation, in which the human being is allusioned to be the sole determinant of right and wrong, permissible and impermissible, regardless of what the All-Wise Creator states regarding an issue. Secularism and democracy all stem from this idea, which gives the feeble human intellect more weight in legislative (shar'i) affairs than Allaah. Meaning, the Shareeah of Allaah, according to Western thought is something which has to be "approved", whether regarding detailed or general matters, to see if it fits with the whims and opinions of the masses! And We seek refuge in Allaah from such kufr!

From amongst the wisdom of sending Messengers to mankind was to judge between the matters in which they differed, so that they might seek guidance from Him alone, and to refer to His Decision alone, instead of the varying opinions of human beings and their fabricated constitutions.

Shaykh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said:

"Allaah is the Judge (Al-Hakam) who judges between His slaves, the Decision(Al-Hukm) belongs to Him Alone. Allah revealed His Books and sent the Messengers to judge between them. Whoever obeys the Messenger is one of His pious close friends(awliya') and will find happiness in this world and in the Hereafter. Whoever disobeys the Messenger will be one of those doomed to torment. Allah says:

Mankind were one community and Allah sent Prophets with glad tidings and warnings, and with them He sent down the Scripture in truth to judge between people in matters wherein they differed. And only those to whom [the scripture] was given differed concerning it after clear proofs had come unto them through hatred, one to another. Then Allah by His Leave guided those who believed to the truth of that wherein they differed." [Qur'an 2:213]

Allah (swt) explains that He sent the Messengers and revealed the Books to them so that they might judge between the people concerning that wherein they differed. Allah (swt) says:

And in whatsoever you differ, the decision thereof is with Allah [He is the ruling Judge]. Such is Allah, my Lord in whom I put my trust, and to Him turn [in all my affairs] and repentance. [Qur'an 42:10]

and Prophet Yoosuf (alayhe salam) said: "The command [or the judgement] is for none but Allah. He has commanded that you worship none but Him; that is the straight religion, but most men know not" [Qur'an 12:39-40]

The Decision belongs to Allah Alone, and His Messengers conveyed that from Him. Their ruling is His ruling, and their command is His command; obeying them means obeying Him. Whatever the Messenger rules or commands them to do or prescribes in the religion, it is obligatory upon all the people to follow that and to obey him, for that is the ruling of Allah upon His creation." -end quote

How often in Western society are the opinions of t.v. and radio show hosts, musicians, congressmen, and even actors and celebrities referred to for judgment, whether that be in the political spectrum, or even affairs of day to day life? The Decision of Allah is disregarded, and the whims and opinions preached by the gods in the media is looked after eagerly (in such a culture).

In essence, the kufr of Western society can be summed up in one word which is used over and over to justify its presence, growth, and its glorification... Freedom. Yet what such a society fails to comprehend, is that such "freedom" simply represents the worship and enslavement to desires, opinions, and whims, a disregard for what is (truly) right, and a disregard for the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth. Islaam is the truly liberating force, which liberates men from worshipping that which does not deserve worship, submitting to that which does not deserve submission, whether they take the form of an idol, a king, a clergy, or even one's own desires, ideas, and lusts, and then (Islaam) subsequently puts mankind forth on the worship of Allaah, the All-Wise, All-Knowing, Creator and Sustainer of the universe. To Him belong all Attributes of Perfection; none can intercede with Him except by His Permission, and He is the only one that deserves worship.

Sayyid Qutb (rahimahullah) said:

This religion is really a universal declaration of the freedom of man from servitude to other men and from servitude to his own desires, which is also a form of human servitude; it is a declaration that sovereignty belongs to Allaah alone and that He is the Lord of all the worlds. It means a challenge to all kinds and forms of systems which are based on the concept of the sovereignty of man; in other words, where man has usurped the Divine attribute. Any system in which the final decisions are referred to human beings, and in which the sources of all authority are human, deifies human beings by designating others than God as lords over men. This declaration means that the usurped authority of Allaah be returned to Him and the usurpers be thrown out-those who by themselves devise laws for others to follow, thus elevating themselves to the status of lords and reducing others to the status of slaves. In short, to proclaim the authority and sovereignty of God means to eliminate all human kingship and to announce the rule of the Sustainer of the universe over the entire earth. In the words of the Qur'an:

He alone is Allaah in the heavens and in the earth. (43:84)

The command belongs to Allaah alone. He commands you not to worship anyone except Him. This is the right way of life. (12: 40)

Say: O People of the Book, come to what is common between us: that we will not worship anyone except Allaah, and will not associate anything with Him, and will not take lords from among ourselves besides Allaah; and if they turn away then tell them to bear witness that we are those who are Muslims (have submitted to Allaah) (2: 64) "

In conclusion, it is obvious that the people of the West are in general kuffar and mushrikeen, and their kufr and shirk is clear and recognizable to any reasonable Muslim. Likewise, it is not permissible to form alliance with them, or feel love in one's heart towards them, until (and unless) they accept tawhid, by testifying laa ilaaha illa Allaah, Muhaammadun RasulAllaah, thus submitting themselves to Allaah as Muslims. Allaah (swt) says:

"You (O Muhammad ) will not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day, making friendship with those who oppose Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad ), even though they were their fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their kindred (people)." [Qur'an 58:22]

"Indeed there has been an excellent example for you in Ibrahim (Abraham) and those with him, when they said to their people: "Verily, we are free from you and whatever you worship besides Allah, we have rejected you, and there has started between us and you, hostility and hatred for ever, until you believe in Allah Alone," [Qur'an 60:4]

"So fight them until there remains no worship of anything besides Allaah, and obedience and worship are purely for Allaah." [Qur'an 8:39]

Allaahumma Salli 3aala' Muhammad, wa 3aala' aali Muhammad. Kamaa baraktaa 3aala ibraheem wa 3alaa' aali Ibraheem. Innaka Hameedun Majeed.

May Allaah's peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad (salallahu 3alayhe wa sallam), his family, his companions, and all those who follow them in goodness until the Day of Ressurection. Ameen.

I ask Allaah to keep us on the straight path, the path of Al-Islaam, subdue our enemies, and give us victory over the disbelieving people.

Islam Condemns Terrorism

As the Muslim defeatists continue to fall victim to the West's incessant campaign set to uproot and brainwash the global Muslim identity and the erase the bonds of the Muslim loyalty, we the Muslims of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaa'ah seek to make our enmity and hostility for the Muslim adversaries clear and unambiguous in order that we free ourselves of any ties to and any sympathy for the avowed enemies of Islam.

Know, oh Muslims, that Allah [swt] has commanded us to know our enemies and to treat them as such; and has forbidden us from showing them any sympathy and loyalty, as He [swt] says,

“Verily, Allah does not love the disbelievers” (3:32).

Indeed showing enmity to the enemies of Allah and knowing their plots is a condition of being Muslim, as Allah [swt] warns the believers,

“Verily the Kuffar are ever unto you open enemies” (4:101). 

Iblees, ar-Rajeem, has adopted the West as his contrivance in his eternal war against Islam and against those who try to spread the light of truth and justice upon the earth. The recent intensification of this war and the West’s legitimization of it under the clever pretext of spreading ‘freedom’ and ‘peace’ has succeeded in bedazzling the Muslim masses with clever rhetoric that masks a ruthless crusade seeking nothing short of the total annihilation of Islam.

We the Muslims of Ahlus Sunnah wal-Jamaa’ah seek to call out the true terrorists and the true criminals in this war between emaan and kufr, and we condemn the brutality and the intimidation Muslim innocents have been subjected to at the hands of the West and her allies across the globe.

We condemn the terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan perpetrated under the semblance of “spreading freedom and democracy in the Middle East.” We condemn the continued and unabashed terrorism committed by the state of Israel in Palestine with U.S. funds under the pretext of establishing a dual state. We condemn the unceasing Russian terror campaigns in Chechnya and Dagestan, and we condemn the state-sponsored genocide of Muslims across the state of India. We condemn the persecution of Muslims in China, Uzbekistan, Burma, Sudan and the persecution of countless muwahideen in the Arab states by their own governments for the mere reason that they seek to manifest their belief in word and in action.

Moreover, we denounce the cowardly and despotic rulers of the Muslim lands who have failed miserably in their duties and proudly allied themselves with the camp of Shaytaan. These defeatist governments who have opened up the Muslim lands to the West and allowed the wealth and the resources of the Ummah to be squandered and used by the terrorists show no compassion for the Muslims as their blood is shed, as their honor is raped, as their children are massacred, and as their cries unceasingly resound every second throughout the Heavens and the Earth. They ridicule the religion of Allah and His shariah and their words of contempt and condemnation are reserved only for those who seek to avenge for the Muslim honor. They utter not a word of condemnation against those who have made the defeat of Islam their open and avowed priority. Indeed we are free of these governments and anyone who shows them the slightest support.

Oh Muslims know that Allah [swt] has honored us with a religion that has elevated the lowest of us, and know that whoever seeks honor in any belief, any ideology, any religion, or any alliance other than Islam will find himself engulfed in humiliation and will find himself in a perpetual state of defeat. Know that all might and greatness is derived from the Might and Greatness of Allah [swt], and whoever is not attached to Allah and what He loves and what He has commanded will be wretched and weak both in this life and in the Hereafter.

The dividing line between emaan and kufr is clearer than ever, and anyone who chooses to remain ignorant of the path of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaa’ah does so willingly. Those Muslims who cry for the slain Westerners; those Muslims who faithfully light candles and organize vigils every September 11th, those Muslims who seek to modernize Islam and elevate it in the eyes of the disbelievers and never speak a word of praise for those who are struggling everyday against the kufr and zulm of the oppressors must realize their state of humiliated defeat and surrender, and heed the stern warning of Allah [swt] when He says, 

“Let not the believers take the disbelievers as Auliyâ (supporters, helpers, etc.) instead of the believers, and whoever does that will never be helped by Allâh in any way, except if you indeed fear a danger from them. And Allâh warns you against Himself (His Punishment), and to Allâh is the final return.” (3:28)

The Lesson From the Life of Ibraheem(as) ‘s Struggle.

Verily Allah (SWT) sent the Messenger Muhammad (saw) as a Rahmah-mercy for Mankind. Through him Allah (SWT) revealed the Qur’an, which contains many lessons for us in the narratives of the previous Messengers. The struggle of Ibraheem (as) against the tyrant of his time, Nimrod, is not dissimilar to the situation in which the Muslims find themselves in after the 11th September 2001. Ibraheem (as)’s life is also significant to this time of year when millions of Muslims make the annual Hajj-pilgrimage to Makkah. We hope to reflect on some of the lessons below insh'Allah.

Ibraheem (as) is described as an Ummah by himself. Allah (SWT) says in the Qur’an

Ibraheem was indeed an Ummah devoutly obedient to Allah (and) true in faith and he joined not gods with Allah [EMQ 16:120] 

Moreover Allah (SWT) says: 

"Behold! We gave the site to Abraham of the House of Allah (i.e. Al-Masjid Al-Haram) (saying): "Associate not any thing (in worship) with Me; and sanctify My House for those who compass it round or stand up or bow or prostrate themselves (therein in prayer). "And proclaim the Pilgrimage among men: they will come to thee on foot and (mounted) on every kind of camel lean on account of journeys through deep and distant mountain highways [EMQ 22: 26-27] 

Despite there being no one physically present before Ibraheem (as), Allah (SWT) ensured that his (as)’s Azaan (Call) would be heard by many generations to come who would respond to his call and make pilgrimage to Makkah, as they do today, this is indeed a great blessing for Ibraheem and one of the miracles of Allah (SWT).

Ibraheem (as) is known as someone who would debate with himself the issue of man, life & universe, where did we come from and our final destiny: Allah (SWT) informs us hence:

"So also did We show Ibraheem the power and the laws of the heavens and the earth that he might (with understanding) have certitude. When the night covered him over he saw a star: he said: "this is my Lord." But when it set he said: "I love not those that set." When he saw the moon rising in splendor He said: "This is my Lord." but when the moon set he said: "Unless my Lord guide me I shall surely be among those who go astray." When he saw the sun rising in splendor he said: "This is my Lord; this is the greatest (of all)." But when the sun set he said: "O my people! I am (now) free from your (guilt) of giving partners to Allah. "For me I have set my face firmly and truly toward Him Who created the heavens and the earth, and never shall I give partners to Allah." 

[EMQ 6:74-79] The firm conviction of Ibraheem (as) is shown here. Ibraheem (as) finds that which the senses perceived as great i.e. the sun and the moon, to be limited and needy themselves and therefore not worthy of worship. Following his rational contemplation Ibraheem (as) makes complete Bara’(Disassociated) from all that his people worshipped.

Allah (SWT) then tells us about the individual daw’ah of Ibraheem (as) to his father: "Also mention in the Book (the story of) Ibraheem: he was a man of Truth a prophet. Behold he said to his father: "O my father! why worship that which heareth not and seeth not and can profit thee nothing? "O my father! to me hath come knowledge which hath not reached thee: so follow me: I will guide thee to a Way that is even and straight. "O my father! serve not Satan: for Satan is a rebel against (Allah) Most Gracious. "O my father! I fear lest a Penalty afflict thee from (Allah) Most Gracious so that thou become to Satan a friend." (The father) replied: "Dost thou hate my gods O Ibraheem? If thou forbear not I will indeed stone thee: now get away from me for a good long while!" Ibraheem said: "Peace be on thee: I will pray to my Lord for thy forgiveness: for He is to me Most Gracious. "And I will turn away from you (all) and from those whom ye invoke besides Allah: I will call on my Lord: Perhaps by my prayer to my Lord I shall be not unblest." [EMQ 19:41-48] 

Ibraheem (as) here distances himself from his father and what he is calling for, preferring Imaan over ties of family ,tribe and nationalistic, similarly Muslims must rise above any bonds of nationalism and see themselves as “a unique brotherhood (Ummah) whose land, war, peace and honor is one.” (Ahmad) Nevertheless Ibraheem (as) fulfilled his promise to his father of asking Allah (SWT) to guide his father, if he (as) became aware of the truth

"And Ibraheem prayed for his father's forgiveness only because of a promise he had made to him. But when it became clear to him that he was an enemy to Allah he dissociated himself from him: for Ibraheem was most tender-hearted forbearing." [EMQ 9:114] But when he discovered that his father was an enemy to Allah (SWT) he made Bara’ (Disassociate) from him and declared him a Mushrik.

Moreover Allah (SWT) tells us about Ibraheem (as)’s da'wah to the society in which he lived: We bestowed aforetime on Ibraheem wahi and knowledge and he said to his father and his people "What are these images to which ye are (so assiduously) devoted?" 

Attacking that which they worshipped They said "We found our father worshipping them." A similitude can be drawn here with people in today’s world who do not (on the whole) follow the wooden idols-gods as they did in the past, but the new ‘intellectual’ idols-gods of today which take the form of ‘Freedom’, ‘Democracy’, ‘Human Rights’, ‘Secularism’ , ‘Nationalism’ etc… they follow, obey, submit, serve and Die for such ideas in the footsteps of their forefathers, without scrutinizing them for their agreement with the divine decree of Allah (SWT). After all, what is worshipping or Ibadah in Islam if not to obey, to follow, to submit and to serve? He said "Indeed ye have been misguided." They said "Have you brought us the Truth or are you one of those who has just come to disturb us?" He said "Nay your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth He Who created them (from nothing): and I am a witness to this (truth). And by Allah I have a plan for your idols after ye go away and turn your backs"... So he broke them to pieces (all) but the biggest of them that they might turn (and address themselves) to it. They said "Who has done this to our gods? He must indeed be some man of impiety!" 

In the same way that Ibraheem showed the Kuffar (disbelievers) in his time the folly of worshipping what they made with their hands, the events of the 11th of September 2001 have shown the world the folly of eulogizing Human Rights, Civil Liberties, Freedom and Democracy. These very man made concepts, upheld by so many, were shown to be false gods once the guardians of these intellectual idols started arresting 3000 Muslims under the pretext of being members of ‘Al-Qa’ida’.As Muslims are kept in conditions unfit for animals in Guantanamo Bay anyone who has the fortitude to speak up against the atrocities perpetrated by the US and UK in Iraq, Palestine, Chechnya, Afghanistan etc… or anyone suspected of supporting such causes (an Islamic duty upon every Muslim) are automatically branded as terrorists and detained without the ‘right’ to trial and in many instances without any cogent evidence whatsoever.

“Statements and findings by non-governmental organizations and human-rights groups detail how one female detainee had been raped 17 times in one day by ‘Iraqi’ police in the presence of US troops. Another NGO reported of how one mother-of-four killed herself after being held by her hair and raped in front of her restrained husband, who was forced to watch.”

“A former male prisoner also reported how he regularly saw Iraqi women taken into a room. He said, "They had to pass in front of our tent and cried out, 'Find a way to kill us'".” 

The same is going on right now in IRAQ where thousands and thousands Iraqi Muslims are Brutally Murdered in the name of Freedom with all kind of BOMBS whatever were available for US and UK combined attack, as if the last 13 years of sanction was not enough which killed more than 500,000 innocent Children without counting the women, men and elderly. The US and UK destroyed a country with more than 5,000 years civilization, infrastructures, water supplies, Hospitals, Schools-colleges-universities, gardens so the big corporations can have more than 100 Billion Dollars contracts which will make Iraqi Muslims enslave for the next 100 years. The US exploited the 9/11 and initiated a WW111 against Islam and Muslims world wide in the name of TERRORIS (Islam) and TERRORISTS (Muslims). The same thing was initiated against Ibraheem(as) when they labeled him(as) as a terrorist, They said

"We heard a youth talk of them: he is called Ibraheem." They said "Then bring him before the eyes of the people that they may bear witness:" They said "Art thou the one that did this with our gods O Ibraheem?"

  Perhaps in the same way that the US arrogantly accused the Muslims as soon as the twin Towers were destroyed in New York, and in particular the Taleban and Usama Bin Laden…. He said: "Nay this was done by this, their biggest one! Ask them if they can speak intelligently!" So they turned to themselves and said "Surely ye are the ones in the wrong!" Then were they confounded with shame: (they said) "Thou knowest full well that these (idols) do not speak!" 

Democracy-SHIRK (i.e. Man-Made-Laws), Freedom, Secularism and Human Rights are nothing other than the inventions of man. Just as the disbelievers in the past caused tyranny and oppression against Muslims in the name of ‘The Crusades’ and later ‘Civilizing Missions’ (under colonialism), today they butcher Muslims and rape our land and resources in the name of ‘Democracy’ and ‘Freedom’ and ‘Human Rights’ in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine, Chechniya, Kashmir, Sudan, Sumalia etc. However, Ibraheem 

(as) brings their attention to what they practice, (Ibraheem) said "Do ye then worship besides Allah things that can neither be of any good to you nor do you harm?

"Fire upon you and upon the things that ye worship besides Allah! Have ye no sense?"...They said "Burn him and protect your gods if ye do (anything at all)!" In the same way the US led alliance against Islam and Muslims has done its best to murder, torture and eradicate anyone opposing their global hegemony today under the guise of ‘Freedom’ and ‘Democracy’.  

From dropping thousands of tones of bombs on innocent men, women and children in Afghanistan and Iraq ,to supporting butchers like Putin, Vajpayee and Sharon. There is no measure too severe to silence the carriers of daw’ah and the indigenous people and to protect their economic, political and military interests in Muslim land. 

The way that the Kuffar of the past declared ‘burn him…’ to Ibraheem (as) the British and US governments have declared their new Laws of Terrorism and extraditions to Cuba, in order to protect their new found idols. Yet Allah (SWT) continues "We said 'O fire! be thou cool and (a means of)) safety for Ibraheem!" [EMQ 21:51-69] The final victory being with Allah (SWT), whether He (SWT) shows it to us, and we are therefore witness to it, in this world or in the hereafter.

Concerning the Leader in the Time of Ibraheem (as) i.e. Nimrod, Allah (SWT) says: Have you not looked at him who disputed with Ibrâhim (Abraham) about his Lord (Allâh), because Allâh had given him the kingdom? When Ibrâhim (Abraham) said (to him): "My Lord (Allâh) is He Who gives life and causes death." He said, "I give life and cause death." Ibrâhim (Abraham) said, "Verily! Allâh causes the sun to rise from the east; then cause it you to rise from the west." So the disbeliever was utterly defeated. And Allâh guides not the people, who are Zâlimûn (wrong-doers, etc.).
 
[EMQ 2:258] So Bush declared after the 11th of September 2001, ‘You are either with us or with the Terrorists’ naming his, and Blair’s, massacre of Muslims ‘Infinite Justice’.

O Muslims, Allah (SWT) gives us many lessons in the Qur’an through the lives of his Messengers. The Pharaoh of Musa (as), the Caesar of Essa (as) the Abu Lahab of Muhammad (saw) and the Nimrod of Ibraheem (as) are today replaced by the likes of Bush, Blair, Putin, Vajpayee, Olmert, Mubarak and Musharraf.  

The physical idols have been replaced with the intellectual idols of Democracy and Freedom and changed their Kabah from Makkah to the White House in Washington. Yet the struggle between Haqq and Batil, between Towheed and Kufr, between the soldiers of Allah (SWT) and those of Taghout continues. Let us make a pledge this Hajj to join this struggle, let us pledge to Allah (SWT) to command good and forbid evil to the societies in which we live, just as the Messengers Ibraheem (AS) and Muhammad (saw) did and commanded us to do, let us work together to establish the rule of Allah (SWT) i.e. Al-Khilafah, through an intellectual and a political struggle, as opposed to living under the idolatry, tyranny and oppression of man made law-Shirk.
