Trusting Allah

Trusting Allah

There are many Mubashiraat (i.e. good news) of victories from Allah (swt) but there is also much bad news nowadays, such as the decline among the Muslims etc. There are many traditions of Allah (Sunnah Rabbaaniyyah) and one of them if the conflict between Haq and Batil. If there is no falsehood there will consequently no battle, hence there will always be struggle between ahl ul Haq and ahl ul Batil, this is Sunnatullah and the Sunnah of Allah is not subject to change. But many Muslims have a problem with their belief, because they no longer have confidence in Allah (swt). Hence we must fulfil the conditions of Imaan and Tawheed by studying the promises of Allah (swt) from the Qur'an and Sunnah of the Messenger Muhammad (saw).

Let us first remember that Allah (swt) says in the Qur'an: 'Do people think we will leave them without to test them' and that the Messenger Muhammad (saw) said, as reported from Abdullah Ibn Omar (ra): 'Any action verbal or physical not based on the Deen of Allah is rejected.' Hence the very existence of the people of falsehood is a reason for us to fulfil our duty and responsibility and to struggle against the kuffar and munkar, carrying da’wah to them and fighting them to make the Deen of Allah (swt) dominant.

Let us have a look at some of the promises of Allah (swt) from the ayat and ahadith.

Allah (swt) says in the Qur'an: 'They want to extinguish the light of the Deen of Allah by there own tongue, but Allah (swt) has decreed that this Deen will be implemented.' [EMQ 61: 8]

And 'They try and wish if they can extinguish the guidance and Nur of Allah by their tongue, but Allah has decreed that this Deen will be implemented even if they dislike it.' [EMQ At-Taubah, 9:8]

And 'Allah sent the messenger with guidance the Deen of truth in order to be dominant over all other Deens.' [EMQ 48:28] i.e. to be dominant all over and victory is inevitable for Islam and Muslims; we must believe this and act upon it.

Further Allah (swt) says 'Allah has decreed that the believers who follow the Deen of Allah are above the disbelievers until the day of judgement.' [EMQ Aali ‘Imran, 3:55] and Allah (swt)'s promise is always be fulfilled.

And 'If you seek to conquer and get victory, it is yours.' [EMQ Al-Anfaal, 8:19]

Then he warns the kuffar 'If you stop being arrogant then be careful from the Muslims, they will conquer you. But if you return to your jaahiliyyah, your community will not help you even if you are the majority.'

'Don't feel down and don't feel defeated, you are the best if you are believers.' [EMQ Aali ‘Imran 3:139]

In addition, in the Musnad of Imam Ahmed, upon the authority of Anas (as), it is narrated that the Messenger Muhammad (saw) said: 'You are going to fight Banu Asfar (the blonde people i.e. probably the Romans) or someone else will rise after you and fight them, selected sincere Muslims from the Hijaaz - they will fight in the way of Allah and not care what people say of them, until Allah will make them conquer Rome with their fighting and Tasbih and Takbeer.' Hence they will come from the school of Tawheed, fearing no one and they will conquer Banu Asfar i.e. the Europeans.

Moreover, it is narrated in Muslim, Ahmed from Bishri, that the Messenger Muhammad (saw) said: 'The hour will never come until the crusaders will enter the Heart of the Muslim nations again, and in Daabiq (Syrian city near Aleppo), Allah will send upon them an army from Madinah who are the best of Muslims in the Earth (at that time), they will fight them, the Banu Asfar, and slaughter them the way they slaughter the animals.'

NB. Even before the Mahdi comes from India there will be this fighting against the blonde people.

And in another narration the Messenger Muhammad (saw) said: 'There will always be a small portion of my Ummah who will fight and be victorious.’

We should not have a crisis in trusting Allah, because ultimately everything is in his hands, including protection, victory etc.

Allah (swt) says: 'Verily all the matters are for Allah.' [EMQ 3:154] and Allah (swt) says: 'Qun faya Qoon' [EMQ 36:82] i.e. he says 'be' and it is.'

Surely, if you have Al-Jabbar, Al-Qaadir, Al-Muqtadir, Al-Qahaar, Al-Qayyum etc. on your side, why should you worry? The names and attributes of Allah (swt) will give you strength. Allah (swt) is the most powerful and dignified. In [EMQ 39: 4] Allah (swt) says that he is the one Al-Qahaar. And in [EMQ 51: 58] Allah (swt) says that he has strength that no one can compete with. Moreover in [EMQ 6:17] Allah (swt) informs us that he is the one who benefits and harms.

In addition, Allah (swt) says: 'This Earth belongs to Allah he will give it to whom he wishes.' [EMQ 7:128]

Moreover we should not be worried about the Kufaar at all

Allah (swt) says in the Qur'an: 'The one who thinks that Allah (swt) will not give him victory in this life let him take a rope and see what Allah (swt) has decreed in heaven.' [EMQ Hajj: 15]

Ibn Abbas (ra) says regarding this ayah: 'whoever doubts that Allah will not give victory to the believers in this life and the hereafter, let him hang himself with a rope very high and let him die in his rage.’

In the time of the Quraish, when they were torturing the Muslims, Allah (swt) sent the verse: 'Don't worry before you they plotted and planned against the believers, but Allah (swt) came from under their feet to destroy the foundations of the disbelievers.' [EMQ 16:26] In fact this happened in the time of Lut (as), Allah (swt) came from under their feet. Jibraeel (as) took it all flew very high and threw it upside down until today the Dead Sea is very salty and nothing sinks there, they all being buried there.

How can Allah (swt) be Al-Hayyul Qayyum and you are worried. He never sleeps and is able to do all things. Allah is the one who can prevent people from harming you, he is Ad-Daal (the one who harms). Allah (swt) says that no one will harm or benefit you except what Allah (swt) has decreed. Hence in [EMQ 4:84] Allah (swt) informs us that he is the one who prevents any attack, he is the one who will remove all the plots. He also says that they cannot continue all the time to fight against you because the kuffar have Dunya to be busy with, whereas the Muslims fight for the sake of the hereafter.

In [EMQ 5:64] Allah (swt) says that 'Whenever they agitate fire for the war Allah (swt) will extinguish it.' For example the Kuffar have artillery, but Allah (swt) will destroy it.

See the story of Musa (as), as described in [EMQ Shu'ara: 61]. The believers said that they were finished because they had the sea in front and the army of Pharaoh of 1,000,000 behind, with much artillery. Musa (as) said not to worry because Allah (swt) is with the believers, and then he just struck the sea with his stick and everything was OK. Similarly Lut (as) said: 'I am going to rely on someone strong' when the disbelievers threatened him under their new law of Terrorism.

Allah (swt) says: 'Those who the people said that they should fear from when they heard people are going to arrest them, their Imaan increased. And they said 'we rely on Allah and he is the best to rely on'. They are with the blessing of Allah. They are the people who follow the line of Allah. Don't fear them, fear me if you are believers.' [EMQ 3: 172-173]

Hence keep fulfilling your obligations, leave the prohibitions, do not fear from anything except Allah, carry da’wah and supporting the Mujaahideen, and no one will harm you except if Allah (swt) has determined it and he is the protector for the believers. In addition we must continue to protect our Imaan and Tawheed by Al-Wala wal-Baraa.

How to recognise if you are allied with the Kuffar

There is nothing in the Qur’an (after Tawheed) which has more explicit evidences than Al-Walaa’ wal-Baraa’ (to love and hate for the sake of Allah) and the Muslims should always be clear on this concept. We must have Walaa’ (love and allegiance) with Allah, Islam and with the believers, and have Baraa’ (hatred and disassociation) from the disbelievers, kufr and shirk. However, Al-Baraa’ from the kaafireen (non-Muslims) could be violated in the UK by any of the following examples:

To live among them (non-Muslims) only for Dunya purposes i.e. business

The Messenger Muhammad (saw) said that: ‘I am free from people who live between the Kuffar.’ Hence, living among the kuffar must be ONLY for the sake of carrying da’wah or for involvement in Jihad purposes

Not to believe that they (i.e. the Jews and Christians) are kuffar

To wear the clothes of the kuffar (football shirts etc.)

To use the words & expressions of the kuffar

To use the calendar of the kuffar (we must always remember our history because we are a product of our history)

To participate in their celebrations (e.g. in their festivals such as Christmas and Easter)

To take them as Bitaana i.e. assisting them or taking them as assistants or getting advice from them etc.

To call yourself by the names of the kuffar. Always call yourself by Muslim names and kunya (nick-names) which will remind you of the Messenger Muhammad (saw) and the Sahabah

To praise the kuffar e.g. their material progress. Secular people will always say ‘let us learn from them’ or ‘be like them’. Never praise them or it will affect your walaa’ and baraa’; you will begin to like, defend and even follow them
